What is Cascades Giving Day?

Cascades Giving Day is a 24-hour fundraising event that supports UFV Athletics and Campus Recreation. It unites alumni, students, coaches, parents, fans, and community members to make a collective impact on UFV varsity teams and athletic programming.

Donations raised during Cascades Giving Day directly benefit student-athletes by funding scholarships, travel, equipment, strength and conditioning, wellness, and more. You can also contribute to enhancing campus culture and wellness through campus recreation programs, benefiting UFV students, alumni, faculty, and staff. With matching gifts, challenges, and peer-to-peer fundraising, it’s a day to Rally for the Valley and show your support for the Cascades! 

When is Cascades Giving Day?

The second annual Cascades Giving Day will take place on Wednesday, October 29, 2025. Mark your calendar for 24 hours of exciting opportunities to support UFV Cascades and be a part of the momentum driving the Athletics and Campus Recreation programs forward!

Donation process

How can I donate?

Anyone may donate via Master Card or Visa through this website. To give via cash or cheque, contact us at giving@ufv.ca and we will work with you to facilitate a gift in person or through the mail.

Can I give to more than one fund in one transaction?

Yes, you can contribute to multiple funds in one transaction. Just add as many funds as you’d like and specify the amount for each one.

Where does my donation go?

100% of your donation goes directly to supporting UFV student-athletes and their programs. Every dollar you give is used to enhance athletic experiences, improve training facilities, provide scholarships, and fund essential team needs. There are no administrative fees, meaning your contribution makes an immediate and tangible impact on the success and well-being of Cascade student-athletes and programming.

Is there a minimum gift amount?

You may give any amount. Gifts of $20 or more will be eligible to receive a tax receipt. Tax receipts will be issued through the mail after Cascades Giving Day closes. All gifts are non-refundable. UFV Charitable Registration Number: 107403701 RR 0001.

Privacy and access to information

How will my personal information be used?

The personal information requested when you fill out the form is collected under the authority of the University Act, and in accordance with the Section 26(c) of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA). The information will only be used for the purpose of collecting your donation and providing you with information about giving opportunities.
